My name is Waldir Spencer Pimenta Lima. Don't let the words trick you --
the 'W' is read like a 'V'.
I was born in Saint Petersburg, Russia (It was called Leningrad by then), on February 16, 1986. I'll spare you the math: that makes me 22 years old as of now. We were two, by the way: my twin sister Viviane was also born that day (before me, to be exact).
I must warn you, though, that I'm not Russian. Both my parents are from Cape Verde, and so am I. I actually left Russia when I was 4 months old, so I don't remember anything from there, let alone speak Russian (in case you were wondering). I learned some Cyrillic though -- For instance, my name in Cyrillic is Вагдир.
I grew up in São Vicente island with my father's parents. 3 years later, when my parents returned from Russia, we moved to Sal island, where I grew up until 2001. Then, me and Viviane moved back to our grandparents in São Vicente to study the last 3 years of high school.
In 2004, I came to Viana do Castelo, Portugal, to start my graduation studies in Computer Graphics and Multimedia. I was supposed to finish by June 2009, but since there was a reform across Europe to standardize superior education, my course was shortened from 5 to 3 years. I ended up finishing in the middle of the academic year, only a few months ago.
So here am I -- this is now. Where am I heading? Here are some hints.
